Advent is the period of four Sundays and weeks before Christmas. Advent means 'Coming' in Latin. This is the coming of Jesus into the world. As Christians we use the four weeks of Advent to prepare and remember the true meaning of Christmas, amidst the rush or busyness and materialism that so often dominates this season.
This advent we are looking at Jesus' birth through the lens of Mary's words, "YES! LET IT BE!" This young woman, some place her at around 14 at the time, when given an overwhelming and awesome invitation to join in with God's plan, she humbly, bravely, and faithfully responds, YES! Let it be!'
