We get in over our heads sometimes don’t we? Sometimes it’s because of poor choices we have made and others because the circumstances of life become overwhelming.
Getting in over our heads can be a helpful metaphor for the experience of Jonah, it’s one of the ways we can relate to this strange and unique story of a man being swallowed by a fish.
